Summary | The article deals with the problems of free time in the everyday life of the Urals population during the Great Patriotic war years and formulates problems for further studies. Based on the study of the archives and the published ego-documents the author draws a distinction between the notions 'free time' and 'leisure' from the standpoint of the history of everyday life; the structure and content of various forms of leisure activities is reviewed, and the classification of leisure activities under the extreme conditions of the war period is offered; the author also pointed to the facts, which determined the scope, the content and the nature of the leisure activities, listed the needs and motivations underlying various models of leisure behavior. The author came to a conclusion that the free time and leisure activities in the Urals during the Great Patriotic War years was a complicated, controversial, regulated by the communist party and state authorities system of reproduction of the social resources. | ||
