Summary | On the materials of private correspondence the article studies the formation of the image of Russia in the French public opinion in 1812, as well as the problem of tenacity of perception stereotypes in the event of encounter of the bearers of the given stereotype with the object of perception; the author gives an answer to the question whether the perception of Russia by the French changed as a result of 1812 campaign, or they found just another proof of their old ideas. | ||
