TRADE «WARS» BETWEEN THE OWNERS OF NIZHNY TAGIL AND LUNJEVO WORKS IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Summary	The article presents an analysis of the history of confl ict between the numerous heirs of P. P. Demidov, Prince of San Donato — the owners of the largest in the Urals Nizhny Tagil and Lunjevo works in the early 20th century. Based on their business correspondence the author investigated the subject matter of the conflict and reasons for the confrontation that existed at the time in the works’ management, tried to understand the positions of the confl icting parties and the role of individual owners. The author also followed the attempts of the confl icting parties to resolve the dispute using the mechanisms available under the applicable laws of the day.
