| Аннотация | Первая мировая война — единственная, имеющая в английском языке наименование «Великая». Это обстоятельство подчеркивает ее непреходящее значение для британской духовной, политической и повседневной культуры. Концептуализация исторических событий как акт формирования культурной памяти, форма представления обществу значимого прошлого, его культурного наследия рассматривается нами на основе методологии memory studies и heritage studies, а также его нового направления — critical heritage studies. В рамках последнего культурное наследие трактуется как процесс постоянного переосмысления и переопределения культурных ценностей прошлого, в который включены разные социальные акторы. Влиятельными участниками данного процесса являются исследователи: культурологи, историки, литературоведы, социологи, которые не только воздействуют на коллективные представления о событиях прошлого, но и интерпретируют их значимость для общества. В этой связи из гигантского массива англоязычных трудов, посвященных мемориализации Великой войны, выделяются те, которые рассматривают взаимодействие различных форм памяти и их влияние на эволюцию коллективной памяти британцев, созданы в русле исторической науки о культуре и отличаются выраженным историко-антропологическим подходом. Авторы статьи выделяют несколько концептуально различных направлений в разработке проблематики культурного наследия войны и памяти о ней, анализируют достижения в компаративном исследовании образа войны и его эволюции в культурной памяти британцев, изучении взаимодействия официальной и популярной, коллективной и индивидуальной форм памяти о войне, сходств и различий британской и зарубежных традиций памяти, интерпретируют значение ревизионистского направления историографии в изменении представлений о наследии Великой войны. | ||
