Summary | Based on the analysis of the ethnographic component of childhood culture in the works of P. P. Bazhov the author tries to understand the connection of this sphere of life with various functional aspects of the tales. Childhood ethnography is deeply related to the shaping of Bazhov;s super-text axiology, where the hero's punishment/encouragement comes via his progeny and depends on his moral qualities. The scope of research also covered the notions of “norm” and “memory” and their preservation under the conditions of various forms of communication between the representatives of “secret power” and the natural, the “substituted” children, and orphans within the adoption practice context. The author noted diversified use of ethnographic description resource in the text of Bazhov's tales, from the basic function of generating confidence in the words of the author to full-fledged involvement in building the author's artistic and mythological world view where the ethnographic components related to children and the family were endowed with a special axiological meaning. | ||
