Summary | The paper substantiates that the Demyanka river valley of the Low Irtysh River basin may be considered as an effective scientific platform for studying the questions of the ecological adaptation of the Siberian nations. The territory presents an extreme variant of a native transitional zone that allowing a reindeer breeder and ploughman to coexist. The tangible isolation of the area, the underpopulatedness and the rich natural resources assisted forming of the local multiethnic society in the ХХ-th century, and slowed the processes of its integration. | ||
