Summary | The author performed an anthropological study of “historical” bridges in Italy.In this article the researcher outlined the general underlying concepts of the study, explained various meanings of the bridge concept, analyzed the dualism of holiness and hybris.Most of the research was focused on the study of classical sources on the subject indicating the essence of a bridge – a desire to bring together two different “banks”: this is also the subject matter of any anthropological study, hence a bridge might be treated as a metaphor designating the discipline of anthropology. | ||
