| Summary | This article examines the activities of Peasant and Noble banks in the event of historical challenge: the Russo-Japanese war (1904–1905), the first Russian revolution (1905–1907), the agrarian reform of P. A. Stolypin and the First world war (1914–1918) in the territorial boundaries of the Tambov province. With this purpose, analyzed the characteristics of the functioning of land mortgage banks in the period before and after the events of historical challenge. In practice, the decision an agrarian question in the early 20th century determined the fate of all Russia. The status of special national importance acquires the activities of Peasant and Noble banks in terms of agrarian reform P. A. Stolypin, supported by the publication of a number of legislative acts defining the functions of the land mortgage banks in the new environment. Authentic historic challenge of the events of the agrarian reform was due to the replacement of communal ownership of the peasants homestead the district and the education of a single household, which was redirected the activities of the Peasant Bank. Meanwhile, the activities of Noble Bank there is a steady tendency to the predominance in the loan operations Pereselkov estates. The reason was the unwillingness of the local nobility to face the new challenges in the process of restructuring land relations. The Bolsheviks who came to power in October 1917, Russia set a new challenge: how to force a return to communal land use, thus by elimination of Peasant and Noble banks. | ||
